Castrol MAGNATEC 5W-30 C3 is suitable for use in automotive diesel vehicles where the manufacturer recommends an ACEA C2 or ACEA C3 lubricant. The oil clings like a magnet to critical engine parts including the valvetrain, timing chain, pistons, and bearings, delivering 50% better engine wear protection. It forms a protective barrier between metal contact points in the valvetrain, manages abrasive piston deposits to guard against cylinder liner wear, maintains timing chain tension by minimising chain damage and elongation, and shields engine bearings from corrosive wear.
